Washington D.C Day 1

If you look closely, you can see that the reflection of he water that was underneathe the monuments make it look like the tails of airplanes that are on fire.

On our first day in Washington D.C. mom and I woke up late so we got a late start and didn't get to go do much! Dad took us to the Pentagon so we could see the 911 memorial. Mom and I both decided that the "monument's" that each had a name of a person that was lost, looked like the tail of an airplane. The water that was underneathe them made a reflection on the "tails" which made it look like the tail end of the plane was on fire. We then went to the Air Force Memorial, which was pretty cool to see the three spiers that were supposed to indicate flight. Next, we hopped on the metro to head down to old Alexandria, Va. We walked down the street and mom and I popped into some antique shops, but most of them were closing, so on our last day we went back. We walked down King St. to the end, and had dinner at a amazing seafood restraunt called the Charter; it was on the warf overlooking the water:) After dinner, we headed back to our hotel b/c one of my feet hurt really bad(like something had broken on the top of it!) and my dad's ankle was hurting.
