Cherry Trees and still more monuments

Vietnam War Memorial
I wanted to get a picture where it was like the statue of the men were staring at the wall of names and remembering those that lost their lives.

A monument that was hidden in the trees (I'm not sure if it had a name or not)!

On our walk to the Jefferson Memorial

The Cherry Trees were absolutely gorgous! The weekend we left was actually the start of the national Cherry Blossom Festival in D.C.; I was so bummed we had to miss it, but I guess thousands of people come every year! It was nice to be able to walk around and take pictures without having a lot of people around.

Cherry Trees over by the Smithsonian

I remembered this area from the last time my family and I went to D.c (when I was in 7th grade I believe)

I had seen this place online, and really wanted to go (since I like anything banana) haha so my mom and I got on a train and went to the Banana Cafe, which was pretty much in the ghetto:) But it had a mix of Cuban food and Mexican food, and it was delicious! They had the best salsa, banana daquiri's and banana dessert EVER! Definatly glad we braved the scariness of the area to go:)
